Qualifications went really well with GB qualifying in first.
This was a Team & Apparatus final event only meaning there was no individual AA title up for grabs this year.
As a result of this Ellie competed on just two pieces ,floor & vault with Becky competing her specialist apparatus Beam & Bars.
On team final day the dream was to finish as they had qualified in gold medal position , however the team suffered from 4 falls & it was not meant to be.
The girls were over the moon to take silver behind Russia on The Podium showing GB are a very strong team even counting falls.
On to Apparatus finals, the GB girls took 7 finals places with a Downie competing in every event.
Vault was first where Ellie performed two beautifully executed vaults taking the silver medal behind steingruber missing Gold by a Very narrow margin.
Becky was next up on Bars deciding to compete her more complex routine.
She Hit the routine perfectly for the first time in a major competition scoring a huge 15.5 and securing the Gold Medal.
Becky was over the moon to regain the Bar title which she previously won in 2014.
Beam was next for Becky who qualified in 4th but carried 2 falls in the team final which she was very frustrated with.
A solid start & a stuck routine tho a little shaky in places taking joint 6th place.
Finally Floor for Ellie one of her favourite events to compete & she was last up.
Although she did not expect to Medal her floor was beautifully performed, nailing her final tumble giving her a PB & her second silver medal.
She felt honoured to be sharing the podium with both steingruber & ponor.
What a way to wrap up the competition, 3 medals out of 4 finals, just Perfect.
